How many games are in a 7 team double elimination bracket?
12 or 13. Every team except the champion loses twice (7 × 2 − 2 = 12); if the losers-bracket winner wins the first grand final, one more game is played.
How many byes are in a 7 team bracket?
1. Brackets work in powers of two, so 7 teams go into a 8-slot bracket and the 1 empty slots become byes for the top seeds.
How many rounds are there?
3 winners-bracket rounds, 4 losers-bracket rounds, and a grand final that may need a second game.
How many games does each team play?
At least 2, at most 7 (a team that loses its first game and then wins the losers bracket and both finals).
How long will it take?
At about 40 minutes a game on 2 courts, around 5 hours; on 4 courts, around 4 hours, since later rounds wait for earlier ones.
